Reid Hwy Extension

The extension of Reid Hwy from West Swan Rd to Great Northern Hwy, West Swan involved the construction of the bridge over the Swan River and the major intersection works at Reid/Roe/Great Northern Highways. With 3km of dual lane carriageway and a 230m bridge over Swan River to replace the single lane carriageway of Middle Swan Road, this project increased traffic flow significantly through the otherwise congested area of the transport network. The project resulted in significant reductions in traffic volumes from other metropolitan roads and now accommodates larger vehicles to promote transport efficiencies, supporting economic grown and regional development. Fremantle Constructions was involved in the following works on this project: Form and pour the abutments structures on the Swan River Bridge. Form and pour the piers and pier footings on the Swan River bridge. Pour concrete bridge deck’s on Swan River bridge.
