West Angelas

The West Angelas Power Station is part of Rio Tinto’s Power System Upgrade 330 Project to support the expansion of its iron ore mining operations in the Pilbara North Western Australia.

Fremantle Construction was engaged by the Forge Group to help construct the foundations for a 100 MW Open Cycle Power Station using low emission GE LM6000 PF Sprint Gas Turbines. The units will be dual fuelled with the capability to run on natural gas and diesel fuel.

Fremantle constructions crew fabricated and poured in situ pits, transfer fire walls, ground slabs and other various concrete structures associated with a power station.

We worked in with other contractors to ensure this work was completed in a timely manner.
